More Nonsense!

Post No. 2

Video Games and Social Media:

Video games have come a long way in the past ten years, what used to by a large dump of over sized pixels is now a smooth, 1080p wonderland.  And man has multiplayer ever changed.  Just back in 1999 multiplayer meant your friend was sitting on the couch next to you.  In present day, with social services like the PlayStation Network, your online friend can play with you from across the world!  Not only can you play with people, but you can add people as "friends" and chat with them through text or voice.  It's become a real Social Networking experience, like Facebook or Twitter.

Within the giants like PlayStation Network, Xbox Live or Steam, there are smaller social networks for individual games. Take Rockstar Games Social Club for example.  The service allows people who play their games to connect, create groups and share creations. Check it out for yourself here.

There are millions upon millions of people who play video games socially every day.  I get together online with friends to play Grand Theft  Auto V, Destiny, Call of Duty or countless other games almost every day.  It provides us a way to get together and have a really good time.

Last, but not at all least, there are games that allow players to connect to Facebook or Twitter to connect and share content with friends or even the world.  Examples are The Last of Us, Destiny and Madden NFL 15.  The Last of Us even takes your friends names and puts them in the game.

If you don't play video games, or haven't since the 70s, I strongly recommend that you try it out.  It is a deeply interactive social experience that you can enjoy with  friends or complete strangers.  See ya.

The Place Where Brandon Posts Nonsense That You Shouldn't Listen To

Post No. 1

Facebook:

Facebook. What is it? Should you use it? So  many questions! Well don't worry, I'm here to  answer them.

Facebook is a social media site that is all about following whats going on with your "friends". I put that in quotes because it's not always your real life friends, they are you're online friends. You can get requests from complete strangers to be your "friend", and you can also send "friend requests" to whoever you want to follow. Once two people are friends, they can chat in Facebook Messenger, they can see each others "Wall Posts", which is anything that the person posts or "shares". So all this sounds great right?... Right?? Well, its not. Social media can be great, but Facebook has one huge flaw. It's populated almost entirely by your Mother and her friends... No thank you.

If you want a place to post and associate with your friends,  use Twitter. That's all I'll say for now, keep checking back here and sometime when I feel like it I will write a post about Twitter and the benefits of it. Well, that's it. You can leave now. Bye.
